the last stop on their trip to the United States," said Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger.
"California and Mexico share more than geography - we are intrinsically tied by
economics, history and culture. We look forward to this historic visit where we
can talk
about important issues and explore opportunities to further develop the partnership
between California and Mexico."

Background:

Since Governor Schwarzenegger took office, trade with Mexico has increased 14
percent, a
momentum the Governor hopes to continue by expanding goods movement and
accelerating commerce. Governor Schwarzenegger supports the expansion of SENTRI
lanes
along the California-Mexico border. The SENTRI program (Secure Electronic Network
for
Travelers Rapid Inspection) allows pre-enrolled and screened travelers to enter
the United
States through the southern border with minimal or no delay to help expedite trade,
commerce and the movement of people between Mexico and the United States.
